Sports & Remedial massage has a dual function.
First helps to help to prevent injuries before a competitive
commitment.
When it is practiced before the competition, it has the task of giving elasticity and tone to the muscle, so as to minimize the possibility that the muscle may be subject to trauma.
Second helps the recovery from a competitive commitment.
If practiced post race, it has a different effect to help minimize the fatigue in the muscle and to speed up the recovery times of
an athlete.
Kinesio taping
is a technique born in Japan in the 70s that uses elastic cotton patches to treat and relieve muscle pain. Its diffusion is due to many sportsmen who started using this bandaging technique as it allowed pain relief during sporting activity. Today kinesio taping is also practiced in physiotherapy during the rehabilitation phase of the patient, bringing excellent results.
